Ribbed Ear Warmer - Free Crochet Pattern

Created by: Crochet With Cookie

Welcome to another free crochet pattern! This time I'm giving you all the tools necessary to create your very own crochet ear warmer - to keep you warm during these cold winter months!

This is a beginner-friendly crochet pattern, that uses only 3 different stitches! Even if you are complete beginner, you will have no trouble following these steps and photos!

I am so excited to share this super easy, beginner-friendly crochet pattern, because it has truly been on of my absolute favorites. I have made tons and tons of these ear warmers for markets, gifts, and also for myself!! The pattern has adjustable sizing to ensure perfect fit, and uses only 3 different crochet stitches!

Trust me when I say that this one will definitely become one of your favorite patterns for all of the reasons above - and - did I mention it only takes 20-30 minutes to make once you get the hang of it?

If you choose wool for your yarn, or at the very least a wool blend like myself, it will also be very warm and keep your ears nice and toasty while you venture out into the outdoors this winter!

Choosing Yarn for this Project:

You can use any super bulky weight yarn. I recommend using a wool mix, or a wool yarn to make sure that your ear warmer is truly warm. The Loops & Threads yarn I used was 50% acrylic and 50% wool - which is a nice mix - kind of the best of both worlds. Or the Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick is 20% wool and 80% Acrylic - which is also acceptable.

Gauge for this Crochet Pattern:

Gauge is not relevant for this pattern - as long as you are using Super Bulky weight yarn and a hook size that is below the requirement your ear warmer will work! Depending on your own personal crochet tightness, your earwarmer may turn out a little bit smaller or bigger, but you can easily adjust using the instructions in the patter, or by changing your hook size up or down 0.5 mm.

Notes:

This is a made-to-measure crochet pattern, and therefore can be made to fit any size perfectly! The width and length of the ear warmer can be adjusted, and therefore can be created to fit even a child or a toddler.
